Debra A. Bell is a Senior Corporate Law Clerk who has worked in the area of corporate law since 1986 and has over 20 years experience in the corporate and commercial legal field. Debra has a broad range of experience in all aspects of corporate law, including experience with top tier law firms, TSX listed corporations, not for profit corporations, private and professional corporations both foreign and domestic as well as partnerships.
Debra assists lawyers and clients on business related matters including mergers and acquisitions, private placement financings, tax driven corporate restructuring, corporate re-organizations, asset and share purchase transactions, due diligence reviews, compliance with various corporate statutory requirements, incorporation, extra-provincial registrations, corporate changes and corporate maintenance.
Debra is a co-author and speaker of on a variety of CLE corporate seminars including ‘Corporate Transactions for Law Clerks’, ‘Do’s and Don’ts of Due Diligence’ and the ‘Corporate Seminar Series I and II’ for The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario, as well as co-author and speaker of ‘Organizing a Transaction’ for The Canadian Business Institute’s Annual Law Clerk Forum.
